A business can budget for being in debt provided the returns on investment cover the interest on the debt – in fact without access to lending many businesses would not grow. And growing revenue means more to spend on what matters. As a household good budget helps plan for and smooth out irregular costs, and make choices about savings or investment which is just what we need.
